Federal Polygraph Handbook
Found this online for free and thought I'd share. A polygraph (lie detector) measures and records several physiological items such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and skin conductivity while you are asked a series of questions. Supposedly lies produce physiological responses that truth does not. This is debated in the scientific community because effectiveness can be worsened by counter measures. In some countries polygraphs are used as an interrogation tool with criminal suspects.
